Waxing
Waxing is a method of semi-permanent hair removal. The effects last for between 3-6 weeks. The amount of time is dependent upon each individual’s rate of hair growth, the time of year and how long you have been having that particular area waxed for. Warm was is applied to the skin in a thin layer, and a paper or muslin strip is applied over the wax, and then pulled off in the opposite direction of hair growth, thus taking the hair with it. Hair is best waxed at between 1/4” – ½”’s long for the best results.
PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE
- Please regularly exfoliate. This prevents ingrowing hairs and also helps lift hairs prior to waxing.
- Regular waxing encourages less hair growth; it also minimizes hair growth when carried out regularly, & also minimizes irritation.

BIKINI WAXING
Basic Bikini line - Hair is removed from outside the knicker line, resulting in a neat, tidy, triangle shaped area of hair.
Extended Bikini Line – As above, but also inside either side of the Knicker line, and also fro the top of the Knicker line, resulting in a much smaller triangular shape.
Brazilian – Hair is removed totally from the whole area, leaving just a small, rectangular strip.
Hollywood – Totally Bare.
BODY WAXING

FACIAL WAXING
Facial waxing is very popular at present, with the brow wax being most popular & well known; a brow wax is most often carried out at the same time as Lash & Brow Tinting, for the best results. (A 24-hour skin test is necessary before treatment is carried out.) Lip & chin waxing is also offered.
POST- TREATMENT ADVICE
- Heat treatments must be avoided for at least 24 hours following waxing.
- Avoid sunbathing or sunbeds immediately after waxing.
- Do not use loofahs, exfoliating mitts etc. for at least 24 hours after waxing nor any exfoliating type products as they may irritate your skin.
- Avoid wearing tight and restrictive clothing directly after waxing as it can result in irritation and ingrown hairs.
